Towards a coaching culture aims to give you the skills, tools, mindset and confidence to adopt a coaching approach and create a coaching culture. It is a practical and participative programme with two half-day in-person workshops with time for intentional practice in between plus a follow up check in workshop after six months. Your learning is supported by learning resources, tools and templates.
The programme is fully funded, and is for people and organisations who are part of the Creative Central NCL initiative and for other arts and culture organisations based in Newcastle.
The workshop dates are
Workshop 1: Friday 25 September 2026, 13:30 for 14:00-17:00
Workshop 2: Friday 9 October 2026, 13:30 for 14:00-17:00
Workshop 3: date TBC March 2027, 1.5 hours
The programme is being hosted at Bio West Medicine Building, Life Science Centre, Times Square, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4EP, and is facilitated by Robert Laycock and Stephanie Cole of Yes We Can Community CIC, who are both qualified, practising coaches.

Growing, developing and investing in our people 2026-2027 leadership programme
This programme is for people and organisations who are part of the Creative Central NCL initiative and for other arts and culture organisations based in Newcastle. It is for potential, emerging, new and established leaders and managers, who can be employed, working as freelancers or volunteering.
It is a collaboration between Yes We Can, North East Museums and Life, and is funded and supported by Creative Central NCL, Newcastle City Council and North East Mayoral Strategic Authority.
We’re also running a series of short leadership workshops - Learn it today, use it tomorrow - all about being your best at work and working well with others in teams and with other organisations. We’re running each of the seven two-hour workshops twice between October 2026 and February 2027.
