I am Rozie, a Visionary Urban Planner and Regeneration Strategist with 20+ years’ experience delivering multi scale, city shaping programmes up to £300M across the UK. I’ve secured over £10M from local, national and international funding bodies to deliver transformational change across towns and cities. I’m known for leading complex, cross sector initiatives that unlock investment, transform places and deliver lasting value for communities. I’m passionate about connecting people and place, and I’ve been fortunate to work in a field I genuinely love.
I’ve spent nearly 25 years across regeneration, placemaking, economic development, property and infrastructure, shaping complex programmes from early visioning through to delivery. Working across public, private, political and community sectors has given me a deep understanding of how people, systems and organisations operate, and how to support others to navigate them.
I’ve led major programmes including Bedminster Green (£300m), Western Harbour, Sidcup Town Centre Revival (£3m) and the Belvedere Green Links environmental portfolio (£10.6m + £4m HLF). I’ve delivered more than 100 consultancy commissions and over 80 creative engagement programmes, often in sensitive contexts involving demolition, displacement and major change.
Mentoring has been a natural thread throughout my career. I’ve supported planners, designers, graduates, community practitioners and early career professionals to build confidence, develop strategic thinking, understand organisational dynamics and find their voice in complex environments. A particular strength is joining the dots, helping people connect ideas, opportunities and pathways they may not yet see.
Alongside my professional roles, I coordinated volunteers at the Manchester International Festival, supporting diverse teams and cultural programmes. This strengthened my commitment to inclusion, confidence building and nurturing talent. I also co-chair Urbanistas North East, championing women’s leadership in placemaking and supporting creative engagement, co design and community led approaches. I have worked with charities and social enterprises, delivering co working spaces and business training programmes.
